The Competitors

Those who participate in the Roccinger Cup are members of the Rocchi and Hellinger families. Participants must be born with the Rocchi or Hellinger name which means that men or women who marry into the Rocchi or Hellinger family are not eligible to play. Any offspring of a Rocchi or Hellinger is eligible to play once they turn 21 years of age.

The first eight years of the Roccinger Cup (consisted of a one-on-one format between the founding members of the competition; Gerard and Bob. In 2010, the first generation of new Hellinger and Rocchi competitors  turned 21 years of age and joined the tournament. With the addition of Mike Hellinger, Matt Hellinger and Jake Rocchi, the tournament format was been revised to a five man competition for the next 12 years. With the addition of Ali Rocchi in 2022, the format was changed once more to a 6 person competition for future years, a change that was long overdue and set the stage for future Roccingers.
